  11. DON'T FORGET TO SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RECORD STORE!!

GO FIND THESE ON VINYL AND BUY THEM! USED! NEW! REPRESSES! DOESN'T MATTER!!!

I support blogs giving away music as much as the next guy, but it's up to you, the readers to be semi-responsible about this.

Just because it's here doesn't mean it's ok to not buy the records!! Do not let your local music joints die off!!!

  12. I agree. Beat Electric always plays 100% vinyl. Find your favorites and grab them on vinyl. Or at least get them on CD and play the WAV at the club.

But rest assured, this post is going to mean that better tunes will be on dance floors all over the world this weekend. If just one of these tracks takes the place of a Miami Horror bloghouse remix Black Shag should be guaranteed entrance into the kingdom of heaven and be considered for sainthood.

  13. Thanks for posting this. I owned the CD box version of it, but sadly enough it got stolen (together with the best & complete 'Detroit Techno' collection one can dream of).

    One note:
I think you forgot one track in the upload struggle it must have been:
    Box 1, Volume 4-06 Fingers Inc. - It's Over (Dub) (6:13)
    (The Club Mix is posted).

    Thx again!

  27. Woo-ho, this is amazing. Great Classic house. I wonder, how old is that house, exactly? penisgröße

  28. i hate to genre-nitpick, but fat larry's band is a disco/soul outfit from the late 70s...they are in no way chicago kids with drum machines.

act like ya know is a great track, im sure knuckles played it to death at the warehouse, it was probly in a played-at-the-warehouse bin at imports, etc., i get it i get it but seriously, chicago house it aint.

  29. The title of the comp "History of Chicago House" would suggest that not only are they featuring 80's Chicago tracks, they also sought to present tracks that heavily influenced the sound that Jessie Saunders, Frankie Knuckles and others helped to define.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The comp came out around 88/89 and also had a disc for contemporary house at the time, and also house from Europe. I still mean to go scan the book that came with it.
